Science This is my big secret. I really don't like science. I don't like the mess it takes to do experiments. I don't like the math involved. I just don't like it. My children, however, don't know that. They LOVE science. I guess I'm doing a reasonable job, if they haven't developed my aversion to science. The turning point was when I started doing a Science Co-op. My curriculum choices are below, but the secret is doing it with other families to keep me motivated and on task. In the past I've used Apologia, RS4K Physics, CHC science grades 2 & 3. Right now, we're doing science according to Susan Wise Bauer's suggestions in The Well Trained Mind (full-disclosure, here: I don't own the book, I just borrow it from the library once a year to see what it said because my mind is pretty faulty, implement a little more of this overwhelming book, and make my plan for the next year)
I use the elementary Apologia series by Jeannie Fulbright in the summers as a
supplement. My children know that everything comes from God and are familiar
with the creation story in the bible, so it hasn't bothered them a bit that it's
