Phone/Address Work Phone Cell Phone
Days of the Week Months of the Year Vowels

Sing these to the ABC song and change the numbers to suit your family.  When I introduced this to my children, I sang the Phone song over and over the first day to the kids, maybe 20 times.  They'd groan as they helped me fix dinner and I'd start in AGAIN!!  They begged me to stop.  I promised them when they learned it, I'd never sing it again.  The next day I only sang it 3 times and the older kids started complaining that they kept catching themselves singing it.  The 3rd & 4th day I forgot to sing it.  The fifth day, the kids new most of it.  It didn't take long at all!  A year later, after not singing it at all since they initially learned it, my 1st grader & preschooler remembered every word from the previous year.

A-E-I-O-U are vowels

There are vowels in every word,
Every word that I have heard,

This is my favorite website to find kid songs.  This is my favorite kid song :

Mairzy Doats

Mairzy doats and dozy doats and liddle lamzy divey
A kiddley divey too, wouldn't you?
Yes! Mairzy doats and dozy doats and liddle lamzy divey
A kiddley divey too, wouldn't you?

If the words sound queer and funny to your ear, a little bit jumbled and jivey,
Sing "Mares eat oats and does eat oats and little lambs eat ivy."
