Clifty Falls

We like vacations.  They're a little expensive, but we try and do them as cheaply as possible.

We usually try to stay in a suite room, so there's enough room for all the kids.  We pack a cooler of food & quick snacks and eat from that as much as possible.  We also go off-season when the park Inns offer discounts.

The drop-offs completely FREAKED me out with the kids.  That vacation kept me praying (unlike my husband, I'm not an "outdoorsey" person).

There were some walking paths that I felt fine about -- the easy, not-risking-my-life-or-the-kids'-lives ones.

We LOVED the bathroom of our room.  It felt so luxurious.  It had an oversized shower & everything was lined in stone.  I'd show you the pictures, but it's got a bunch of un-clothed, wet, little kids in the bathtub.

This is the Jefferson County Train Station in Madison, Indiana.

The kids liked climbing & pretending in the old train car best.

The grown-ups liked the museum best.

We had to ask to be let into the train station itself.  But it was cool!

The doctor's house we visited was seriously educational.  They had an intact office with tools, etc all for the kids to go through and examine.  http://www.historicmadisoninc.com/drhutchingsoffice.htm
